The vehicle is based on a chevrolet corvette c5 convertible but could also be converted using a corvette hardtop (not hatchback). All new body panels are installed using the same attachment locations as production panels. A small recess cut into the rear trunk inner fiberglass to clearance the new deck lid contours is the only modification to production vehicle.

There are no structural modifications. All safety related items remain intact. Production of the 1953-2003 commemorative edition has begun, and to date have been 48 vehicles delivered. Commemorative edition package includes: New front: Hood inner and outer front fascia headlights and front turn signals side marker lights with reflex chome diacast grille and bumpers new rear: Quarter panels rear fascia deck lid inner and outer chrome diecast bumpers and license surround l. E. D. Taillights and l. E. D.
